FAQs/Policies

What is Pilates?

Pilates is a conditioning method invented by Joseph Pilates in the early 20th Century. Pilates is simply strength training that uses spring resistance on machines. There is also Pilates mat work, which is incorporated into our sessions. These both strengthen your core and condition your whole body!

Class is a circuit-like format focusing on strengthening and lengthening while maintaining correct form to see maximum results.

What should I wear?

Comfortable workout clothes and bare feet or socks that have grips on the bottom. No zippers or buttons please as they tear the upholstery on the apparatus.

I am injured…can I do Pilates?

Yes. Pilates is great for people with injuries. We get your body moving safely and use appropriate modifications. Just let us know before your session and we will tailor a workout program for you. We have taught clients with knee and hip replacements, rotator cuff injuries, frozen shoulder, low back injuries, broken wrists, etc. There is always a way to stay moving!

Are you instructors certified?

YES! All of our instructors have over 600 hours of training and many years of teaching experience. They are well versed in modifications and injury prevention.

What classes do you offer?

Private Sessions: These are one-on-one sessions with an instructor combining the best of both the machine and mat classes. Whether you are a novice and would like to build a Pilates foundation or someone who has taken Pilates for years and want to deepen your practice, your session will be a well designed plan created by the instructor.

Semi-Private Sessions: 2-3 Clients per session. Your instructor can tailor each session to the needs of everyone in your session. Because semi-private groups are small it is not a problem for your instructor to give variations and modifications of exercises to accommodate everyone.

5) Use the App!

Private and duet clients, please schedule through me, but you are able to cancel through the App.

6) No zippers or hardware on any pants. It tears the upholstery on the apparatus.

7) Please refrain from using your phone or watch during class. It is distracting to your fellow classmates.
